How would you describe Something Blue? We describe Something Blue in many ways. We take your personality, wishes and dreams and turn that into Amazingly Wonderful Photographic Memories. What do you want your children and your grandchildren to see when they look at your pictures in years to come? Do not leave the only documentation of the biggest day of your life to ammetures. Do not have any regrets. We want you to smile every time you look back at your wedding day. We want you to cry and laugh remembering all the special details.

Kerri and Mark E-Session

Mark and Kerri had their E-Session done where else, but in the SNOW. Yes, there is snow in Tucson (sometimes). We tried to suggest re-scheduling, but Kerri would not have it. She had her heart set on a winter look. And when a bride-to-be wants something, we happily :) give it to her.
We had a lot of fun and I think they turned out awesome.

Garrett and Marissa

Congrats Garrett and Marissa. What a beautiful couple - Inside just as much as outside. They had the warmest and sweetest family ever. We had such a great time with them.

They celebrated at Saguaro Buttes on December 14th. They say that rain brings good luck to a marriage, so they should be set for life. We started outside, but the day was cold and wet and they ended up moving their ceremony inside. The weather did let up enough to get in a few shots in front of the mountains.

Garrett gave his young ring bearers baseball bats that had their names and date of the wedding engraved into the bat. What an awesome gift. But, Boys will be boys, and the big Boys had to play with the toys.

Look at that sexy shot on the right.

We love ring shots. Check out the pic on the left.

Garrett and Marissa - gettin with it!!

The garter toss was sooooo funny. The DJ blind folded Garrett to add some fun to this tradition. Marissa's Brother decided to play a joke on Garrett and sat in Marissa's chair. Garrett thought something was going on, so Marissa stepped in to assure him it was her on the chair.

When Garrett got to the leg of Marissa's brother, he was "Ahhhhh".

It was done in love. It was all good.

Presidential Inauguration 2009 - Itzhak Perlman

I, like most of the World was watching the inauguration events this week. Prior to President Obama being sworn in, a musical quartet performed. When I heard the names of the musician, I about came out of my seat.

I had the great privilege of being commissioned to cover a private greeting of Itzhak Perlman after his concert in Tucson last January. Mr. Perlman is one of the worlds most well known and greatest musicians as well as an amazing artist - as you heard during the inauguration.

Just thought I would share. Next blog - back to weddings - I PROMISE.

GO CARDS!!!

Anyone that knows Jon, knows that he is a HUGE - HUGE- HUGE AZ sports fan. So, we had to be at this historic occasion of Cardinals Championship game for the first time in AZ history. The Cardinal fans stepped it up too. We stood during 99% of the game and lost our voices from the non stop screaming. It was an amazing game and and amazing day.

As we were walking to the stadium, there was two guys holding MOJO signs. I think they were following us, because we saw them about 10 times through out the day even though we were surrounded by 100's of 1000's of people. Crazy times, brings out crazy people and it makes the atmosphere so exciting.

The game started out with this amazing flag that was the size of the field. It was breath taking. Jordan Sparks (American Idol) sang the national anthem so beautifully.

When the game was over and we could breath again, the field was flooded with people and confetti. It was quite a site.

After the trophy was presented to the Cardinals, Dansby took the trophy and ran around the stadium in triumph to the fans. It was awesome. Look at the media... Oh my goodness.

As you can imagine, it was very chaotic getting out of the stadium. People were hanging out of trucks, screaming, honking and celebrating this amazing moment in Arizona. With all the craziness we came across this father and son - how cute.

Casey and Dave - Reflections at the Buttes

Congrats Casey and Dave. Married on December 12, 2008 at the Reflections at the Buttes. Casey was just so full of life and the two of them had so much fun.

There are so many photo ops at the Buttes - Green Grass and Trees, beautiful mountain backdrop, twinkling lights at night. Look how beautiful the picture on the right is with the twinkling lights and silhouette.

Well you know how much we love kids.....Can not get any cuter than this....she is showing Jon her flower petals......AHHHHHHHHH
Wondering why you need two photographers? This is an example of Jon and I photographing the same shot, but at two angles. You get that all day long. Plus how romantic is that shot. Casey looks like an Angel on the right.
There was no shortage of good times. I love the garter shots. I'm not sure who enjoyed that more. LOL :)
Check out her cake. O_M_G. It was amazing. Plus they did the smoosh the cake in the face..........LOVE IT!!!
Weddings bring out so many emotions - Laughter and Tears. This was a tender moment for Casey and even though it was a tough moment for her, we want to capture that in time so that she can re-visit the whole day and remember all that she felt.
Romance, Romance, Romance - I love first dances.

How awesome is this shot.

Felicia

For Felicia's 13th Birthday - She got a Fashion shoot with Me!!! What a cutie - Look at those eyes. She was so excited to see the end result and got a collage of the pictures for her room.

Since Teens travel in groups, we had her friend Brianna with us. So of coarse, had to shoot the girls together.

Here is some of Brianna's pics.

We ended the day with a kick, hot dogs and slurpies.
