Laura and Mickey married at the Stillwell House

This gorgeous couple is Mickey and Laura.  Their family has a special place in our hearts.  Her big sister was the very first wedding we ever photographed.  So Laura was a bridesmaid back then and Mickey came along later. The two flower girls were just ity bity babies back then.   It is so exciting to be able to be a part of both of their weddings.

They were married at the Historical and Beautiful Stillwell House.

The wedding party and especially Laura was so easy going.  During this next shot, we were blessed with a light mist of rain.  They kept going, kept posing and having a good time.  We did however, take it inside right after this shot.  Rain is Good Luck :)

Flowers were beautiful and created by In Full Bloom.  Since their colors were Black and white, this bouquet was amazingly beautiful and unique.  Love the groom and gm boutonniere's as well.

At the Stillwell House the gates are opened and the Bride is lead down the isle.  I love this sequence in the ceremony.

How cute is Laura as she walks away from the ceremony as Mrs. Magee.
Following suite with the color scheme and their feisty personalities is this classic cake.  Loooooooooooove the cake topper.
MMMM, M & M's with their names and dates and color coordinated.  Such a sweet added detail.
They also coordinated thier table place cards.  We usually do not sit with guest at the tables.  But they sat us at the head table with the parents.  whoo hooo, we felt so special and surprised.   So I had to take a picture of our names.  (side note:  I have known the family for about 8 years- so for future brides that is not protocol LOL)
During the cake cutting they were suppose to be nice and just feed each other sweetly.  I cant say for sure, but I think Mickey started that one.  But he got it good.  Always makes for good pics and good laughs.

I leave you with their first dance.  I love when there is sweet whispers and gentle nudges during the dance.
Laura and Mickey....thank you for letting us be a part of your beautiful and special day.

Photo Session to Challenge our creative juices

My sweet neice is a photo junkie.  We have started a tradition in recent years to do a model session for her birthday.  This year she is 14 and said she wanted something different.  She called her theme "Memories of Broken Dreams".  (she is to young to really know what that means...LOL)  She wanted it to look mysterious.  I figured the movie "Twighlight" was what this young teen is wanting.

I loved the challenge to our creativity.  I wanted her to still be sweet but give her the mystery she was wanting.  Kind of acting out a book or play.

So here is a sneek peak of what is to come.  She was extremely happy with the pic.
