Darcy and Anthony's Wedding full of Heart felt touches

I am not one to blog and assume you all have followed my every word and  my every post.  I dislike when people blog as if the world is hanging on their every word.  But in this case, if you follow our work at all you may recognize this couple.  They were featured in Tucson Bride and Grooms last issue as a featured couple.  Tucson Bride and Groom also featured them in a post on their blog.  I have posted about their engagement session and then their rehearsal baseball themed party.

Ok so you get the idea, they have been written about alot.  But I have not blogged about their wedding so I thought I would share some things about their wedding that you may not have seen.

Such as the Home Run Derby.  Yes, the men started their day playing baseball.  Jon took this really cool old school version of the men that showed up.

While the men were off messing around, the ladies were serious about beautifying (And yes, that is a word in my dictionary)

Jon was all over the baseball practice this is one of his favorite all time sports.  So he got all up in the players business.  I thought I would put arrows where the balls are in the picture.  Hit, Hit, Hit, ummmmm  miss.

When they were all finished playing, I had Jon call me to assure the girls there were no broken bones or black eyes.

The groom did something I had never seen before.  He wrote a personalized letter to everyone of the bridesmaids, parents and the bride.  Had the letters delivered and each read aloud by the recipient.  What a touching moment.  And as you can see by the reactions, it was a big hit with the girls. What a romantic Anthony is.

Heading off to the church you can see the emotion again coming over Darcy.  Intense and happiness all with in a few moments.

The engagement session had baseball intertwined, the rehearsal dinner had a baseball theme and so Anthony wanted to break tradition and incorporate baseball into the ceremony.  Once the men walked into the church and stood in place the organist played the baseball tune to start a game.....da da da dum dum dum......and the men raised an arm and shouted CHARGE.!!!

Back to Skyline Country Club we go.  We were blessed and tormented by the hint of rain, but in the end, it made for dramatic sky's and amazing photos.

The details were off the hook.  Flowers were provided by Elaine Taylor Fine Flowers.  The whole day was pulled together by Anne Bryan of Creative Events.

According the brides family it is tradition for the men to do a special dance - Sorry I can not recall the name of it now.  But apparently has been done at every wedding for about oh,  30 years or so.  And yes, they did it here.  The first image is Anthony being inducted into the crazy dance club.  LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!

Thank you all for allowing us to tell the story once again and hope that everyone has as much fun planning and being part of your wedding as this family did.

Mari and Luis at Skyline Country Club

Ok, so get ready for mucho details.  This day was so jammed packed with events, moments and special touches.  This day was all about Mari and Luis and their beautiful wedding day.

Once the hair and make up was finished we headed over to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque Church.  Guest were sat, wedding party assembled and the brides gorgeous gown and veil were being straightened out. Jon caught this sweet shot of Mari turning to look at her veil.

Here are some of the details with the adorable flower girls.

The Church was beautiful and we were lovin the balcony.  Two photographers - you get two angles!!!   Look closely, you can see Georgina bent down to the left of the Priest, taking photos of the Bride coming down the isle, while Jon is is the balcony getting this amazing areal view.

Oh, yes they had a Mariachi band during the ceremony.  Have I mentioned we looooooove Mariachi's.

The newly wed couple and all the guests were requested to meet outside the Church for a releasing of Butterflies.  The children went crazy and loved every moment.

They were landing everywhere including on the Bouquet and on the Brides hands.

Then we were off to Skyline Country Club.  Here is a photo of their entire wedding party.  Yes, it was a large group.

Here are only a few of the details adorning the reception.

They had a trio playing lovey music as the guest arrived and ate dinner.
Then............the real party began.  Out came the Tequila shots.  They toasted with tequila instead of Champagne......My kind of people.  I would so do that.
They threw the best party/reception I have ever seen.  A Live Band led the entire night with dance music, entertainment and hours of fun.  The band did different acts, music artist imitations and supplied the guest with party hats and props.  Through out the night the band dressed in costumes like a Mardi Gras.  Balloons and confetti fell through on their heads and clowns walked around on stilts.  The dance floor was NEVER empty.  There was nothing but smiles and laughter everywhere you looked.

We were blessed with an amazing sky and sunset.  I hope you enjoyed seeing this wedding and hope maybe it will get your creative juices flowing.  Make it yours and make it fun.

Happy planning!!

Tony and Jessica wed at Skyline CC

Let me introduce to you Jessica and Tony.  One of our favorite couples.  Actually I shouldn't say that.  I am like a mom and love all our couples and love getting to know them all.  But these two were just so sweet and had such a colorful wedding party and just a fun lovin couple.  They both were so involved in the planning and wanted this to be  a fairy tale.  And well......they succeeded.

They were married at Skyline Country Club.  A venue that over looks the city skyline with amazing views and sunsets.  Romance doesnt get any better than that.

Jessica started out her day at Gadabout.  Here she is chillin out sippin on a Starbucks.

Isn't Jessica just a beauty and glowing.

Here are the boys.  Check out the little guy in the front. He made the day.  He loved getting his picture taken and hammed it up big time.  Look at the Groom in the bottom Left corner.  He is trying his hardest to keep a straight face.....but come on.  How cute is that little guy.  You couldnt help but chuckle.

The ceremony was beautiful, overlooking the city of Tucson.  Skyline has three levels.  As I was covering all the angles at ground level,   Jon decided to get coverage from all three levels.  Here he is on the 1st level.

This is the 2nd level.

And then the 3rd level.  He was sweatin it, but he did it.
Love the detail of the floral balls hanging along the isle.  This is such a great touch.  For any DIY brides there are some easy instructions on line where you can make them yourself with tissue paper.  These little special touches is what completes the day.

On to the details.  Love the blue and brown colors.  LOOOOOOVE her blue sneakers for the reception.  And her feet thanked her.  Signing book, courtecy of Something Blue.

Isn't her cake just amazing.  The DJ had to announce to all the grandparents that this is how it was designed, and that is was not falling over.  Just the funniest thing ever.

Here is a shot of the reception area.  Look at the city lights in the windows.  OMG!!! What a great view for  guests.

Cocktail hour out on the patio following the ceremony.  Sunset and city lights - AH-MAZING.

Ahhhh father-daughter dance...my fav and they didn't disappoint.  Perfect.

Here is our beautiful bride drop kickin her brother.  LOL.  Best shot ever.

I dont even know how to express how much I love the next set of shots.  Jessica actually plays the piano.  Isn't this so romantic?

I leave you with Tony and Jessica taking a moment with the night skyline views.

Thank you ....thank you....thank you for allowing us to be a part of your Fairy Tale day.
