Jason and Shelley wed at Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch

Two blogs in one day you say.....I know, I can hardly believe it myself.  Truth is I really need to get caught up.  We photograph so many engagements and weddings, one a week isn't cutting it.

So with that said, let me introduce you to Jason and Shelley.  They were wed at Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch.  We love this location.  It gives couples a variation of backdrops.  You have green foliage, water and desert.  The staff is incredible to work with and Raynu pays extreme attention to details.  You can not go wrong here.

The ceremony started with the officiant using a Desert Sage Smudge Stick.

Definition:
To 'smudge' is to purify with smoke from sacred herbs. For thousands of years, shamans, medicine men, and healers around the world have used smudging for spiritual and healing work

The aligned simple vases filled with wild flowers along the path in the ceremony.  It was a beautiful ceremony and ended with a kiss.

I loved Shelely and Jason's vision of simple beauty.  Flowers were casually placed as if they were just happened to be  found there.

Jason and Shelley are rock climbers.  So of course they gave each guest a carabiner.  What is a carabiner you ask?  It is a safety loop used in rock climbing. It could also have a similar meaning in your marriage:  You will each be each others safety carabiners as you go through life.   But to make it even more personal, they had imprinted with "Con amore e grazie".  What does that mean you say?  Thank you with love.  Now that is just sweet.

Another very personal touch was having guest sign quilting squares instead of a signing book.  A true treasure to have for the rest of your lives.

Here is an areal view of the reception.  Love the city lights.

I end this beautiful day with the first dance.  Such sweet passion.  Congratulations Jason and Shelley.
