I love vintage as I know many of you do.  Vintage many times can save you some money with your decorations all the while adding a distinct eclectic and romantic style.

Jen and Lou married at the Buttes, Marriott Resort

This is a lovely wedding story and pictures of Jen and Lou.  They were married at the Buttes Marriott Resort in Tempe.  It is such a beautiful venue with our Arizona rugged dark mountain and some unexpected lush grounds that are kept beautiful year round. 

If you know Jon (owner and photographer of Something Blue Photography) he is a rock hound and petroglyph junkie.  Who would of known that there are petroglyphs on the property.  Ummmmm Jon does.  I love the photos of the resort with the petroglyphs in the foreground.

 

Jen and Lou chose to do a first meeting prior to the ceremony.  It was such a blessing that we did because just moments following the ceremony it down poured rain for most of the evening.

Loved this little towl cabana shack.  Just adorable

 

Check out the boulders cascaded by green plants and flowers.  Ummmmmm just beautiful.

The ceremony location at the Buttes Marriott is just amazing with the dark rock backdrop and lush flowers and foliage.  The grooms last name is Bock and they incorporated that in the sand ceremony.  Love it.

This was a gift they gave to their guest.  Honey....It was meant to Bee. 

As I mentioned it did rain.  But hey, we made lemonade.  Love the umbrella, city lights and moodiness of the afternoon.  Just dramatic.

Thank you Lou and Jen for such an amazing day and we wish you all the love and happiness that you deserve together.

Wedding Mob Scene!!!!

Ahhhhh, the first dance.  So romantic.....so poetic.   Soft music of Nina and Riley’s favorite song playing in the back ground.  Then SCCREEEEEEEEACH!!   The DJ's music stopped and he can’t get it playing.  The crowd is growing restless and not at all pleased by the activities of the DJ.

The wedding party starts to get closer to console or help. Whatever is needed!

Wait, the DJ finally gets the music playing, but not their song. Something fast pace. Nina and Riley shrug their shoulders and go with it.

The crowd starts to relax and calm down as a couple from the wedding party join in the dance to ease the awkwardness.



Then the entire wedding party joins in and wait............they are in complete unison. It’s a Wedding Mob Scene. SWEET!!!

The crowd explodes in applause and cheers. It was a great show.



Nina and Riley were married at The Historical Stillwell House.  I will be showing you more of their wedding very soon.  There were some very special things you must see

Laura and Norman - What Love is made of!!!

This is a wedding story I have been excited and anxious to write about.  Laura and Norman met with us, well probably almost 1.5-2 years ago.  Laura was very detail oriented and had tons of questions. She was verrrrrry into the planning process.   Norman, well, he let Laura do her thing.  They decided to have us photograph their wedding and that's where our relationship began.  The sweet couple decided to do their engagement session in Las Vegas.  So we planned the date and off we went.  Click here to see their session.

Then I photographed her Boudoir session and wedding.  Next they were attendants of another wedding we did a week ago.  I just know we will be photographing their babies and family photos for years to come. 

The wedding and reception was held at Reflections at the Buttes.

Laura chose our favorite florist to do her flowers.....Elaine Taylor Fine Flowers.   L.O.V.E. on the stem is wonderful detail.

The wedding colors were chocolate and teal.  There may be a different name for teal....(sorry if I messed that up).

Love how it pops against the foliage.

I wanted to throw in this pic.  It is Laura and Normans Dads.  Just the cutest thing.

On to the ceremony.  The whole reason why we are all here today.  After 9 years of dating and being high school sweethearts, they finally made the leap. 

Reflections is butted up against Pusch Ridge Mountain.  Such a beautiful back drop.

 

Here are some details.  They had a candy bar....yummy.  I also loved that their wine and champagne glasses were etched.  Check out the glass at the bottom, this was their gift to their guests.

Laura and Norman also chose on of my favorite cake creators, Ambrosia.  Ambrosia's Red Velvet is to die for.  I love the cupcake tower.

Laura is a nut.  And I say this with love.  She is so much fun, light hearted and just a hoot to be around.

Norman was a sport.  They danced to a choreographed waltz.  The groomsmen were so moved that they held up candles in support of the couple.  (I''m wiping away a tear right now)

I could go on all day about this wedding, but I will wrap it up with a night picture silhouetted by the twinkling lights of the Gazebo.



Oh wait, that wasn't the end, this sweet flower girl says it all.  Nightie Night and sweet dreams.  Norman and Laura, your marriage  shows the world what true dreams are made of. Congratulations.  We love you both.
