I was finishing up Lisa and Mikes wedding and came across this photo. Jon and I have a healthy competitive spirit when photographing. We both are always trying to get the best shot of the day.

Dillon and Rachel E- Session

Let me introduce you to Dillon and Rachel. One of the cutest couples ever. Ok, so I may say that alot, but they truly are adorable. They are getting married next month and we can't wait. They used this first shot for their Save-The-Date Magnets. Its breath taking (if I do say so myself).

The love just jumps off the page.

Danielle and Tom E-Session

So you ask, Does anyone really win those free engagement sessions from the bridal show. YEZZZ, they do. Hence, Danielle and Tom. They entered our Free engagement session give away last year and finally took us up on it.

All I can say about this couple is they ROCK!! We had a blast with them. Their sense of humor is a 10.

Bonus.....They loved us so much after the shoot, they booked us to do their wedding.

I gave them a folder full of the outtakes. I think we had almost as many goof off shots as we did the serious one. LOL. Here are a couple of the off color ones.

Vegas- Oh.M.Gee Moments

How many of you have OMG moments. I think this week alone, I have easily had a 100 of them. Brides of Current and Future who are looking at Something Blue as your photographer, believe me when I say you will be so thrilled to see all of our new ideas.

I can not wait to get home and start implementing them. We will be bringing new Albums, Album designs, add to our arsenal of posing and games we play with Brides and Grooms, and so much more. And I mean soooooooooooo much more.

We are PUMPED up and we are bringing the heat, we are steppin it up!!!

We are on the Road

Hey Everyone,

I hope you all had the most ROMANTIC Valentines Day EVER!!!

I feel like it has been too long since, my last blog, but there is a reason.... We are in Vegas Baby!!!! Not for the reason most people go for. We are hobbnobbin with the most talented and prestige's Photographers in the World at the WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photography International). We spend a full week sharing ideas with other photographers on industry secrets, current trends and learning what other Brides around the world love.

We bring back a wealth of ideas and tons of creativity. We strongly feel that we can never stop learning and this is one way we grow to become the one of a kind photographer that attracts all of our brides.

I haven't even dropped any coins in the slots, oh my. I will post some pics in a few days. Miss everyone.

Lisa and Mike

Cheers to Lisa and Mike. Married January 17, 2009 at the Historic and beautiful Stillwell House in downtown. (We are now a preferred vendor of the Stillwell House). The weather and the day went perfect. Could not have asked for a better fairy tail wedding day.

Lisa is just stunning.

They had the best Cake cutting EVER!!!!!!!

Look at the expressions:

My interpretation of what was said. I was laughing to hard to hear the real words.

1. Lisa "No you don't"

2. Mike: "Yes I will"

3. Oh the Heck with it - they went for it.

Now that is cake cutting at its finest. Why not go for it.....When else are you going to have the chance to have this much fun.

Josh and Ashley

Congrats Ashley and Josh. They were married January 3, 2009. Our first of the year. What a way to start off 2009. The whole day was beautiful and the bride was cool and calm all day. She picked out the most amazing color of blue. Mixed with a little brown and crystals hanging from the centerpieces for the reception - just stunning.

I can not emphasize enough -the benefit to you -to have 2 Photographers. Both shots were probably taken with in minutes of each other and may have been missed if I was going back and forth between two rooms.

People always ask if we do photo journalistic style. I would hope that most wedding photographers in today's world do. We are no exception. WE DO!!

They are so cute. You learn a lot about people when you spend the day with them on their wedding day. They passed the test with flying colors - Really amazingly great people. And how in love, Just look............You see it in their faces




One of Josh's friends made this really cool sculpture of the couple. The dress on the sculptor was identical to Ashley's actual dress. How cute is that. I love when couples make their wedding their own and not cookie cutter. It really personalizes the entire day.
