Megan and Daniel's luminarie-itious wedding

Oh yes, another Reflections at the Buttes Wedding. This lovely couple is Megan and Daniel. Jon and I
always say that the BEST weddings are the ones that are planned and designed around
your personalities, tastes and dreams.

Megan and Daniel did just that. Colors were blue and green with and emphasis on Blue. You
will see as we go some of the uniqueness that they created.
We started out the day getting her hair and make up down and then
headed over to Reflections

I love the reflection of mom looking upon her daughter as she
prepares to walk down the isle.

Posh Petals created these one of a kind vibrant flowers. Wow!!

Guest were handed these simpley cute yet useful wedding programs. Not only did they
coordinate in color but the guests could use to fan themselves in our lovely warm desert.

I insert here another item that Megan and Daniel did to personalize their wedding. They went
to Ambrosia of Tucson and explained their vision of a sunset on the cake. With the mountains at the
bottom and ending with the night sky at the top. I love it. Very unique.

Not pictured but the dinner served to guests was a huge surprise. In fact it wasn't dinner at all.
It was breakfast. Oh yes, their favorite meal of the day is breakfast. So that is what was served.
Eggs, bacon and all the fixins. Love it!!

Daniel wanted to add another special touch of his own hands. He created these lovely luminaries
to float on the water. In some cultures they are used at celebrations giving a symbol of hope and
good wishes. Some people make wishes as they set them afloat. I wonder what they wished for.
I am sure this day was a wish come true!

Greg and Kara at Reflections at the Buttes

Hello to all from Reflections at the Buttes in our wonderful Tucson, AZ.
Greg and Kara had a beautiful and colorful wedding here
at Reflections

Greg and Kara chose to do a special first meeting so they could get the majority of their pictures
done prior to the ceremony and enjoy more of the cocktail hour with their family.

The beautiful glorius singing red flowers on the gazebo and for the wedding party was
created by The Good Sunflower.

All the girls with the exception of one were all college roommates. They have all
been in the other girls weddings and Kara was the last to go.

Both Kara and Greg had their own ideas of bling. Lovin Kara's....can you say
Charming Charlies.

No matter if they had seen each other prior to the ceremony, there is never words to explain that first
look as the woman of his dreams is coming down the isle to become one with him.

The colors of their wedding was red and turquoise. And boy did they pop!!!!

I thought this gift to guests was priceless. The couple made a donation to the Arizona Desert Rotti and
Pals Rescue Organization.

The cake was created by Busy Bee.

The seating arrangements were interesting and worked. They had a large party and they had
significant others. So instead of placing everyone at separate tables, they
placed people on both sides of the long table. GENIUS

Oh yes, their first dance. love the expressions.

The father dance was spontaneous and fun. Kara got some air.

As we went into night shots.....Well we got a little carried away.....With fun and hotness!!

Kara and Greg left the room and the groomsmen wanted to surprise the couple with these shots when
the couple looked at the pictures. Knowing the type of friends they had, my guess they were not
surprised or shocked. LOL

We love being a part of each and everyone of our couples.

Leslie and Robert were married at Westward Look. So often in AZ,
Grounds of different venues change due to the season. We were blessed
with some beautiful colors in the garden and blue sky's.

Leslie and Robert had that twinkle in their eyes that we so often
see. When that twinkle is there, love is in the air,
and we know this is a union to last the entire span of
their lives.

The wedding was hosted by Reflections at the Buttes. They organized the ceremony and
reception. John also was the minister in the ceremony.
What a beautiful sky full of billowy clouds. Yummy.

Tanya at In Full Bloom created the glorious flower arrangements. The colors are just stunning.

Ohhhhh they were blessed with an amazing sky of color - painted just
for them to bless their day.

Here are some of the details that set off the ambiance of the night. Deck of cards with the couple's
name on it. Great gift for their guests. And yes, Robert must be a Steelers Fan.

Village Bake House was the creator of this simply stunning cake topped with the cutest couple in history......
Mikey and Mini.

ahhhhhh the first dance. Waltzing into their new live with each other.

We end the night as Leslie and Robert kissing on the horizon of the city lights.

A beautiful wedding at Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch

Justin and Jennifer's fabulous wedding at Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch was
everything a girl could dream of.

Jennifer wanted something unique and special for flowers. She had her bouquet custom made out of metal.
These sweet roses will never wilt.

Beautiful Angelic music was provide by Anne Stigall at the ceremony.

Off into the sunset they drive in their Jeep.

Is it just me or is the first dance everyone else's favorite part of the day.
Well at least one of my favorites. So many to choose from.

Congratulations to Jenn and Justin. May you have a
wonderful and blessed life together.

Tucson is a destination wedding location???? Who knew?

Let me introduce to you a couple that lives in London and chose to come to Tucson for
their destination wedding. This is Philip and Dawn.
Who knew Tucson was a destination hot spot.
Right?

For those who do not know, Tucson is the biggest small town in the universe.
There is 4 degrees of separation with everyone that lives here.
Those of us that live here would never think that our little dusty town would
be the place to go.

But truth be told our town is pretty special and unique. If you live here you either
love it or hate it. Jon and I.... well.......we love it and can understand why people would
want to come here.

Dawn has a passion for horses and chose one of our most precious historical venues in
town - Tanque Verde Ranch. Tanque Verde Ranch is nestled against the
Rincon Mountains. If you haven't been there, it's a must see and a great stay-cation.

Everyone is dressed and ready to go, Cindy from Tanque Verde Ranch
does her final touches.

Since Philip and Dawn traveled so far, the wedding party was quaint. They brought with them two close
friends. Since the size of the wedding party was small they were blessed with the opportunity
to have their ceremony on the small island. How romantic.

Well certainly you must of expected us to spend some time with the 4 legged kind. And they came with
their game faces. Certainly they were not camera shy.

HAMS!!!!

The staff at Tanque Verde Ranch surprised them with a cake. Apparently cutting the cake and
feeding each other is not a tradition in the UK. So this was a fun American tradition
we taught them.

The men in the group are business partners and run about 15 Pubs back home. So when they asked
where they should go for a few drinks aka reception. Well of coarse we directed them to
4th Ave and the Surly Winch. They loved it.

After a long and wonderful day they retreated back to the ranch where they were treated to petals on the
bed and champagne on ice.

What a lovely day for a lovely couple. Cheers!!!!!

Playa Del Carmen, Mexico Wedding - Part 3

Hello to all out there in cyber space. I wanted to stop in and say "NO I DID NOT FALL OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH". I am sad to say it has been a month since my last post. Shame on me. It has been a whirlwind of a month with all the holidays. We are back and on to wonderful things in 2012.

I am going to try to catch up and bring you many yummy engagement sessions and weddings. So many to share.

Today, however, I am bringing you part 3 of our fabulous wedding in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. We stayed at the Royal Playa Del Carmen. I would highly recommend this location. Just beautiful and full of so many extras.

This story starts with the day after the wedding. Traci and Michael were troopers and as you will see have some amazing photos to share. You can not imagine how hard it was to edit down to just a few.

The colors of the ocean and sky couldn't have been clearer or bluer. It was as if God painted the sky just
for us to create such magnificence.

Do any of you just love to laugh at life. We do. So as we are photographing this
beautiful scene, a local man starts walking our way. He sees us...but no
matter. His towel is over here by us. So of coarse we continue photographing
and Traci and Mike do not break character. So awesome. He wasn't
apologetic at all. Just matter of fact and went along his way. LOL

No words needed......Just breathe and enjoy.

If you know anything about my husband-Jon you know he has a passion for petroglyphs and ancient
ruins. So knowing he was going to Playa del Carmen and knowing that the Mayans once lived there,
well this man (little boy) was in his candy store. He researched and found
some amazing hidden ruins.

We were also able to visit Tulum Mayan Ruins in Tulum, Mexico. Since
White dresses are prohibited on this federal property we treated it
more like an engagement session. The sights were majestic and
unbelievable. The scale and beauty was breath taking.

There were many locals making there presence known. Hello big fella.

We spent an afternoon snorkeling and playing on the beach. Traci and Mike had their own personal
paparazzi for a few days. Oh, but no complaining from us.

Thank you for sharing this dream wedding with us. Remember we travel internationally and
would love to capture your dream wedding.

Playa Del Carmen Part 2: Wedding Day

Part two of Michael and Traci's dream wedding at Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

Part of me wants to apologize in advance for the length of this blog, but the other half wins as it squeals with glee on how awesome this is. If I over use the phrase : OMG or Sigh, well... (get over it).

Traci's dress was an Ian Stuart designed dress. 1st OMG. Yes this dress was amazing .

And The shoes....sigh.

The hair was simply elegant.

Traci's eyes in this picture would knock any man off his feet. Michael you are
a lucky man.

Traci and Michael added so many special touches to this wedding day. They had their vows hand
written in a personalized wooden covered book.

The gazebo in the background is to be the location of the ceremony. The ocean
is just a few feet away. Sigh!!!!

up at him proud as can be.

Traci's Dad having a moment, is one of my favorites of the week. He loves his baby.

I love this pictures because as Michael is going in for the kiss, he has a
big smile on his face.

As we took some beautiful ocean side photos, the staff at Playa Del Carmen prepared the reception location.

OMG!!!!! Are you kidding me, this is AHHHmazing.

Dinner was beautiful and tasty. Presentation. Presentation, Presentation.

This is what you see in Hollywood movies. Are you serious. Yes, folks, this is the reception.

And this is the reception at night. Come on, say it with me "OMG".

The first dance was as romantic as you can image and ending with fireworks. UMMMM yes, please.

Drinks started flowing and cigar a rolling. And now its a party. The rest really needs no
explanation.

Well what an amazing day. You must be exhausted just reading this. But wait............it's not over.

Can you say FIRE DANCERS!

Playa Del Carmen, Mexico Wedding. Destinations - I say Yes.

I think all little girls plan their dream wedding from a very early age. Traci was no exception and she did.

I think as photographers we dream of photographing such an event and we did.

Guest were sent invitations only fitting of such a wedding on the beach.

This dream wedding took place at Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

When each guest arrived to the Royal Playa Del Carmen, we were treated with a beverage of our choice and a warm wash cloth to wash away our travels and leave life behind us.

This special weekend will be a 3 part wedding special blog. Today we start with a beach day and rehearsal.

But first...............the View.

As I mentioned we hung out with Traci and Michael with their guests at the beach. Nothin but sun, fun, water and oh yes, the sand. Michael the groom is the middle head.

Alright, I know this is a family blog....but this guy kept walking by us and well, just had to grab a shot. Believe me the leaving side was a much better picture than arriving side. Gewwwwww. (not one of Traci/Mikes's guest) LOL

Once all the fun was done, it was time to retreat to our rooms to freshen up and get ready to go to the rehearsal dinner. The Royal was a top notch resort. Our rooms were immaculate, beautiful and well stocked.

Each day we arrived back we were gifted with a beautiful towel sculpture.

And when I say well stocked, I mean it was well stocked and refillable. Can you say "Holy Booze"

Dressed to the Nines, we are off to the rehearsal dinner at Asiana Restaurant. One of the aprox 15 restaurants included in this all inclusive resort. Sushi = Yumm!!!

Presentation of all food and drinks were amazing. Here is just a few.

Ahhhh what a day. And this was just the first one. But we are not finished. When we got back to our room and went out on the balcony were surprised with Fire dancers on the grounds below.

What a sight, what a treat......just Heaven!!!

Ahhhmazing and yummy light delighted Achilles and Melissa wedding day

Yummy summer light, beautiful mountain backdrop and a very special couple = AHHHH-MAZING photographs. This is Achilles and Melissa. Their ceremony was held at the Christ Community Church and reception at Saguaro Buttes. The above picture just makes me sigh. I love her beautiful red hair shimmering in the light with the veil flowing in the wind while in the arms of the man of her dreams.

Off to the church we went. They were married at Christ Community Church.

I just loved the light and veil so much, I thought I would share a couple more.

The light just kept getting better and better and golden.

Brittany and Dana and Reflections at the Buttes

This lovely couple is Brittany and Dana. They were wed at Reflections at the Buttes this Spring. Ahhhhh, young love.

Brittany and Dana had a brand new baby boy. They dedicated Carter during the ceremony. This was such a special moment in the day. I love that they incorporated and blended these two very important moments in their lives. During the signing of the marriage licence they signed the Certificate of Dedication.

The colors they chose were a beautiful shade of blue and yellow. The colors worked so beautifully together.

We had such a great time getting to know this sweet family. Congratulations!!

Two little love birds sitting in a Tree

Two little love birds sitting in a tree. K.I.S.S.I.N.G. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in a baby carriage.

And so it does. This Sweet and wonderful couple is Ryan and Jessica. We photographed their wedding nearly two years ago. They were expecting their first lil wee one and called upon us. So we had them meet us at our studio and started the session there and then headed down town.

Since this photo, they gave birth a sweet baby girl named Hadley. Love the name. Congratulations to your beautiful family and allowing us to once again be an extended part of your family and provide you the memories you will cherish forever.

I am very excited to share this story of Carrie and Michael. Delicious Pink colors incorporated through out. This above picture is one of my favorites. Its so simple, but the floating petals just scream whirlwind romance.

This story takes place at Reflections at the Buttes. Reflections is one of our favorite venues and we are preferred vendors there. They have the majestic Pusche Ridge Mountain range as a backdrop at the ceremony. Nothing big.....Just a MOUNTAIN TOP. Hello, can you say beautiful.

My girl Carrie, had a beautiful personalized hanger for her dress to hang from. Yes, lovely detail.

The groom made this sign for the wagon and the Thank you sign below with his own hands. Love it when a Groom plays a role.

Darcy and Anthony's Wedding full of Heart felt touches

I am not one to blog and assume you all have followed my every word and my every post. I dislike when people blog as if the world is hanging on their every word. But in this case, if you follow our work at all you may recognize this couple. They were featured in Tucson Bride and Grooms last issue as a featured couple. Tucson Bride and Groom also featured them in a post on their blog. I have posted about their engagement session and then their rehearsal baseball themed party.

Ok so you get the idea, they have been written about alot. But I have not blogged about their wedding so I thought I would share some things about their wedding that you may not have seen.

Such as the Home Run Derby. Yes, the men started their day playing baseball. Jon took this really cool old school version of the men that showed up.

While the men were off messing around, the ladies were serious about beautifying (And yes, that is a word in my dictionary)

Jon was all over the baseball practice this is one of his favorite all time sports. So he got all up in the players business. I thought I would put arrows where the balls are in the picture. Hit, Hit, Hit, ummmmm miss.

When they were all finished playing, I had Jon call me to assure the girls there were no broken bones or black eyes.

The groom did something I had never seen before. He wrote a personalized letter to everyone of the bridesmaids, parents and the bride. Had the letters delivered and each read aloud by the recipient. What a touching moment. And as you can see by the reactions, it was a big hit with the girls. What a romantic Anthony is.

Heading off to the church you can see the emotion again coming over Darcy. Intense and happiness all with in a few moments.

The engagement session had baseball intertwined, the rehearsal dinner had a baseball theme and so Anthony wanted to break tradition and incorporate baseball into the ceremony. Once the men walked into the church and stood in place the organist played the baseball tune to start a game.....da da da dum dum dum......and the men raised an arm and shouted CHARGE.!!!

Back to Skyline Country Club we go. We were blessed and tormented by the hint of rain, but in the end, it made for dramatic sky's and amazing photos.

The details were off the hook. Flowers were provided by Elaine Taylor Fine Flowers. The whole day was pulled together by Anne Bryan of Creative Events.

According the brides family it is tradition for the men to do a special dance - Sorry I can not recall the name of it now. But apparently has been done at every wedding for about oh, 30 years or so. And yes, they did it here. The first image is Anthony being inducted into the crazy dance club. LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE IT!

Rebecca and Aaric Romantic wedding at La Paloma

This very lovely couple is Aaric and Rebecca. We had such a great time with them and their families. We started the day at St. Cyrils Church for the ceremony and then headed over to La Paloma for the wedding party pictures and reception.

La Paloma's grounds are fabulous and they now have this uber wonderful waterfall.

This little cutie is Luke - Aaric and Rebecca's son. What a handsome little man. Hanging with the girls while we were getting ready.

I love the gifts that Arric gave his groomsmen: a flask that was personalized and an Eye glass piece (which looks like a detectives eye piece - but that's just me) Aaric please send me the correct name of it .

These beauty's are the sisters of both Aaric and Rebecca. Love the series of them trying to get Luke to smile. Ahhhhh what great aunties.

Ahhhhh the first dance and in fashion with the day.....A little pep in the step.

Aaric and his boys serenaded Rebecca with such emotion and fever.

And we end the night with some beautiful lights and romance in the air. Congratulations to you both.

Jen and Lou married at the Buttes, Marriott Resort

This is a lovely wedding story and pictures of Jen and Lou. They were married at the Buttes Marriott Resort in Tempe. It is such a beautiful venue with our Arizona rugged dark mountain and some unexpected lush grounds that are kept beautiful year round.

If you know Jon (owner and photographer of Something Blue Photography) he is a rock hound and petroglyph junkie. Who would of known that there are petroglyphs on the property. Ummmmm Jon does. I love the photos of the resort with the petroglyphs in the foreground.

Jen and Lou chose to do a first meeting prior to the ceremony. It was such a blessing that we did because just moments following the ceremony it down poured rain for most of the evening.

Loved this little towl cabana shack. Just adorable

Check out the boulders cascaded by green plants and flowers. Ummmmmm just beautiful.

The ceremony location at the Buttes Marriott is just amazing with the dark rock backdrop and lush flowers and foliage. The grooms last name is Bock and they incorporated that in the sand ceremony. Love it.

This was a gift they gave to their guest. Honey....It was meant to Bee.

As I mentioned it did rain. But hey, we made lemonade. Love the umbrella, city lights and moodiness of the afternoon. Just dramatic.

Bryce and Margot tie the knot at Reflections at the Buttes

Our featured wedding this week is Bryce and Margot. Such a loving couple with strong family bonds. They had their ceremony and reception at Reflections at the Buttes.

This is Aisha. She was a student at Cienega HS and a budding photographer. She came to us about a year ago and asked if we would mentor her for her graduation project. So we did. She shadowed us on several engagement sessions and weddings to complete her project. We fell in love with this sweet girl.

Aisha told her family about us and next thing we knew, we were booked to photograph her brothers wedding. So here we are.

We started out the day at Margot and Bryce's house. And this is Margot's mom. Sweet sweet mom. She blessed us all with homemade Ceviche. Ohhhhhhhhh it was yummy. Thanks mom.

Then we headed over to Reflections at the Buttes to dress and photograph the wedding party.

This is one of my favorite shots of the day.

On to the ceremony.

Jon caught Bryce's dad having a moment. I love seeing the emotion in the day. Truly is a blessing.

Ahhhhhhh, to be young and in Love. So refreshing and inspiring. I introduce to you Jose and Jessica. We started our day out at Hotel Arizona. The ceremony took place at the beautiful and historical St. Augustine Catholic Church in downtown Tucson.

Dad stands quietly in the background watching his baby prepare to be wed and enter into her own life as a wife.

St. Augustine.....It is such a beautiful building standing so tall and proud. It is simply breathtaking.

Mariachi's. Oh how I love thee. Such a great tradition to have at your ceremony.

I love when weee babies just randomly in their own little world find themselves in center spotlight.

Anthony and Darcy's -Wedding - Pre-gaming It!!

Tucson Bride and Groom Magazine's Blog featured the wedding of Darcy and Anthony. Follow the link if you would like to see their deliciously yummy details. So in honor of that I thought I would share their pre-gaming. As the blog mentioned, Anthony loves and plays baseball. They used this in the theme of their engagement session (click on link to see) and in their rehearsal dinner.

Starting with the Ballpark menu, baseball themed linens and everyone dressed to impress with their favorite team logos on. A day at the park would not be complete with out Hamburgers and hot dogs and a cold one.

This lil beauty is the signing book we created for them. I have a copy in our studio if you want to see it and use the idea for your wedding day.

No experience is complete with out a Beer Vendor. No, he is not hired help, it is one of the Groomsmen.

Matt and Emily married at a Tucson Treasure - Tanque Verde Ranch

Emily and Matt were married at the Tanque Verde Ranch. When people see pictures that we have displayed of this location they are always surprised it is Tanque Verde Ranch. This is a location hidden on the East side of town and just a Tucson treasure. They have so much to offer from the rustic to the lush. The green grass is kept up year round and they have a beautiful pond with a quaint old wooden bridge. The event Planner - Cindy- is one of the hardest working professionals in the industry and will take care of your every need.

Emily and Matt had many children in their extended family and this was a huge part of their day. There was kiddo's everywhere and cute as a button. It was important to them to incorporate and allow them all to be part of the big day.

Something about her blue eyes that penetrate my soul. I'm just drawn in.

Emily and Matt had a pretty good size wedding party. Larger size groups are not a problem. Gives us more levels to work with. The girls side was especially large with the Jr. Bridesmaids and flower girls galore

Tanque Verde Ranch is nestled up against the majestic Rincon Mountains. Beautiful backdrop for the ceremony.

The next series of pictures are of just Emily and Matt. Just gorgeous and dramatic. In Tucson, we do not have many seasons. It's really only hot and not so hot. Green or not green. Their wedding took place in the not so hot and not so green time of year. But we love making lemonade and just look at the dramatic scenes that were created.

On to the reception and lettin the hair down.

Smashin the cake......Oh Yay.....your photographers and guests love this. I know many of you women say no way in double H hockey stick. But it really is fun. Come on and let go- It's a party!!! Just make sure you have white cake. Black or red stains the face......Oh yes, seen it happen.

Kyle and Emily's Engagement - Love is in Session

Love is in Session. This simply sweet and adorable couple is Kyle and Emily. We spent an afternoon strolling around a desert oasis getting to know them better. They had a sweet and genuine love that was precious.

Alex and Lindsey: Some Serious Romance

I am excited to share with you the wedding day of Lindsey and Alex. We have been blessed to get to know them very well. They were attendants in a previous wedding we photographed. We photographed their engagement session and I photographed Lindsey's boudoir session. I have to say they are just the sweetest couple ever. I think you will really enjoy their story.

We started out at Avalon Salon. As many of you know we do full event coverage. That means that I start out early with the hair.

After that we headed back to Oasis at Wild Horse Ranch to get ready and do some pre-ceremony photos. Lindsey got along so well with her mom and thought this was just precious. Plus, don't you love the detail on the back of the dress.

What a beauty!!

Off to the church we go. They were wed at the historical, newly renovated and beautiful St Augustine Cathedral.

A cute note that happened during the day: While we were taking pics of the couple, 5 quail ran in front of them. Then later in the day there was 5 baby kittens that had just been born and peeking around at us. Lindsey thought this might be a sign of how many children they will have. Hmmmm I will have to keep you all updated. Lindsey and Alex, you have some work ahead of you so better get going.

They are just so pretty.

Elaine Taylor was the fabulous designer for the flowers.

The girls had these amazing shoes. So sexy. BUT......as shoes go, not so comfy. We had a taking off the shoe toss and jump for the joy for the freedom to their feet.

I loooooooooooved their details. The black and white runners were stunning and absolutely set the stage against the green grass at Wild Horse Ranch.

The cake reminded me of fabric patch work. I really loved the uniqueness.

Alex was most likely surprised to see his Grooms cake. Ummmm do you think he likes the Yankees?

We had such a great time being a part of your wedding day and know that they will be one of those couples that are meant for a lifetime.

Rachael and Frank - The continuation of World Travels starting at Saguaro Buttes

World travelers Rachael and Frank were wed at the beautiful and newly renovated Saguaro Buttes. We love the versatility of backdrops provided at Saguaro Buttes. You have the Desert, Green Grass and a beautiful flowing creek and pond. Its the master mind of Pastor Dave.

Prior to the ceremony the couple chose to do a special meeting. Jon and I arranged for Rachael and Frank to be on either side of a door, touch hands yet never see each other. This is a very special way to say I love you yet keep the tradition of not seeing each other. A very romantic moment.

As I mentioned Rachael and Frank are world travelers so their favors to guests were personalized travel bag tags. Following the wedding Frank and Rachael went on a two month honeymoon traveling South America to Antarctica. We talked them into writing a blog while on the trip so their family and us could see their fun adventures. It was a trip of a life time.

We have spoke often in so many of our blogs....Ambrosia is our favorite Cake designer and the one we recommend. So I caught Janie and her Husband as they were setting up the cake.

Love love love this idea for your guests.

Dan and Carolyn - Giddy and in Love at the Stillwell House

Dan and Carolyn. Giggles, Squeals and non stop smiling. This couple glows and puts the fun in fun-loving. Enjoy the beautiful free-spirited and beautiful wedding that united their marriage on this beautiful day.

Carolyn's mom is an amazing artist and designed and created this one of a kind invitation.

I just loved her classic lace wedding dress. It fit her figure like an hourglass and just love the V in the back. I must admit I really loved her purse too.

There ceremony was held at the Historic Stillwell House in Downtown. Beautiful quaint venue. And bonus located in our downtown with close access to amazing and unique backdrops.

Carolyn and Dan just glow with giddiness (if that is a word). They giggle when they look at each other and have this unspoken language that only the two of them know.

See you can see it in their eyes.

Carolyn's bridesmaid is her little sister. She was wearing a vintage dress found on 4th ave I believe. It was sexy and very apropos of the venue and feel of the wedding

This is Carolyn's grandfather. 90+. She just squealed with delight and I thought this was just precious. Then grandpa proceeded to kiss her over and over seeing the reaction he got from the rest of us. Priceless moment.

On to our first dance following dinner. Have you seen a picture yet, where Carolyn is not squealing with joy. It definitely was contagious.

Ambrosia made this delicious and white lace designed cake. The topper had two wedding couples and with Carolyn and Dan in the background made 3 couples.

Dan loves his car. Loves......so they exited, or should I say peeled out to start their life. If you look closely at the bottom picture you can see smoke coming off tires. We feel bless to be a part of such a joyous wedding and amazing couple.

Sylvester and Sasha's Engagement Session at U of A

We met up with Sasha and Sylvester at the U of A campus for their engagement session. They both went to school here and this is where they met. It was a bit on the wet side this day. These two love birds love to travel and have a Zest for life.

Since it was a little rainy, Sylvester brought along his umbrella he has had for years.......of coarse it is Loony Toons Sylvester the cat. Ahhhhhh!!

Meg and Ryan's E-Session

Good afternoon everyone. Hope your week is going well as we close in on the weekend. I have a couple engagement sessions I am going to share. The first is Meg and Ryan. I giggle every time I say their names because I am a fan of Meg Ryan. LOL. They say they don't get that from people. But every time I say their name I think of the actress.

Meg and Ryan are just the sweetest of couples. Pure to the heart. You can see it in their eyes and smiles. We had a great time up at Sabino Canyon. Meg's mom is thrilled because apparently they are a little shy in front of the camera. We didn't seem to have any problems, but it was probably our magic cameras. This is for you Mom.

Mario and Emily's Dream Wedding - It is all in the details

Are you ready to be O-D'd on Details. Well get ready and get your notepad and pen warmed up. This is Emily and Mario. This duo is going to blow your socks off with their attention to beautiful, home made and unique attention to detail.

Oh, did I mention they are beautiful inside and out.

Mario and Emily started their day off at Corpus Christi Catholic Church

Their colors were very pale pastels: whites, creams, pewter and pinks. Some things she made and I know she shopped on Etsy quite a bit. We will start with their wedding programs. Simple and elegant.

The runner was monogrammed with their names. Just wait there is so much more.

After the ceremony we photographed a few places around the church.

The groom taking a few shots of his new wife. I would too, did you see how gorgeous she is.

Then we were off to JW Marriott at Starr Pass.

This little beautiful mini bride is Mario and Emily's daughter. She had the veil and everything. It was her day just as much as your mommy and daddy's.

So on to the amazing details. Emily had ballerina princess bags for her daughter and the flower girl. She gave each of her bridesmaids a personalize gift and makeup bag. There were flowers galore, candle Abra's, crystal and more flowers. Our favorite florist Elaine Taylor Fine Flowers did all the arrangements and just blew us away. The Initials of our couple were beautifully glowing on the wall above our couple all night long. Another very simple touch that makes a huge difference. They had up lighting all over the venue giving a pink glow all around us.

Emily made this place card holder. She took old wood she had around the house and they built this shallow box. She then collected for months the broaches, buttons and flowers that were adhered to the front. Small glass stones were placed inside the box probably to help the cards stay in place. So different, So unique, So beautiful.

Now Mario helped out too. He made these adorable signs that hung from the Bride and Groom's chairs. He hand painted them and gave them a crackled finish.

Back to the flowers. I have NEVER seen a flower purse. This is what the flower girl carried down the isle. Is that to die for or what!! That is an over the top detail. Again, the florist is Elaine Taylor.

Even Emily's feet must have felt pretty. These shoes are amazing.

I believe this is another Etsy find. Oh-M-G, that is the cutest garter. I do not know if I could throw one. I would want to keep them both for myself.

She carried on the crystal and fabric rosebud theme in the foyer as guest arrived.

This elegant cake was created by Ambrosia. Our favorite cake designer. In this picture you can see some of the pink up lighting in the background.

The first dance is always a poetic moment

The groom did a cute little dance around the bride before taking off the garter. It got the crowd going.

Rockin the Tucson Downtown Scene. Destinations wedding for Nina and Riley

Nina and Riley.....Rockin the Tucson Scene. So much to tell about this wonderful couple, thier vintage style and class act. You will enjoy so read on.

Nina and Riley are from the Valley......Phoenix area for all you Tucsonan's that are confused by that. They wanted a small destination wedding. As we are finding more and more, Lil ol' Tucson is becoming just that for many couples.

We started the day out at Hotel Arizona in Downtown Tucson. I give you the most precious of gift that Nina and Riley could ever give each other.....their baby girl. As you can see she is just beautiful and a sweet spirit and personality to match.

Loved her little Converse shoes and so did she.

Nina's shoes were HOT! with a capital Sizzle!!!!

Nina and Riley chose to do a first look and have us photograph all the pics prior to the ceremony. If you do not mind being a bit un-traditional.....I highly recommend doing this. The entire wedding party was staying at Hotel Congress.....so when in Roam. The hotel was very helpful and allowed us to take over.

You cant find this kind of trendy awesomeness except at Hotel Congress.

The entire wedding party was so much fun and so sexy. Yes, the men too. Look at the ladies......So Hot.

After Hotel Congress we started on our voyage towards Stillwell House. Hit a few lo-cals along the way including The Hub and some random downtown alleys.

We make it to the Stillwell House in good time and thought I would take a magazine style pic. Couldn't help myself. You have to admit you love the poke-a-dot dresses and matching bags. So frigin cute.

Next order of business and the reason we are all here today.....the Ceremony. Someone asked me the other day if I cry at weddings or am I just use to all the uber-guber romantic nonsense. And I said.........As a matter of fact I recently did cry. It was this wedding. See Nina and Riley have know each other for a very long time. Since High School if I have the story right. Back when they were dating they kept a journal that they would pass back and forth. They would write love letters to each other, tell each other how the day had gone and I am sure it was full of a lot of little sweet nothings.

Well as love stories go, things didn't always perfect and they like many they went through some rough times. So rough in fact, they parted ways for a while. In the breakup and heartbreak, Riley through away the book. It was to painful to have and he thought the relationship was over.

In the twists and turns of life, Nina and Riley found themselves back together and gave birth to their sweet little girl. They were at a point in their lives that marriage was right for them. So here we are.

The ceremony and two bridesmaids peaking in to see if everyone is here and ready to go.

It was a beautiful ceremony and all was going according to plan. Then the officiant pulled out a book. He proceeded to tell the couple and the guests that this was indeed the book from their past. See Riley's parents knew the love they shared and found the book in the garbage. Not knowing at the time that their love would be rekindle, they held on to it. It was this day that they chose to bring it to light to enlighten everyone and share the love that was once so strong. There was entries from 2001. The officiant began reading a few of the love letters and.......

Tears.......tears............and more tears. They came rolling down from me, from Jon, from everyone present. It was one of the most touching stories I have heard. To see their struggles and triumph and in the end love prevailed.

On wedding days there are so many emotions flowing and now we are on to the fun. Here are some of the details of the day. I love simple beauty and she enhanced her tables with vintage mason jars filled with flowers and candles, lighted glow favors with their picture on the top and a black and white color scheme.

This I thought was just a classic yet symbolic pic.

We have attended many weddings when someone has broken out in............well actually not sure what it is called. The Caterpillar, the snake. The person does this head to feet Caterpillar type slither across the floor.

But never have I seen a bride do this. I think I am in love with Nina.....LOL. It was great.

Once the reception ended, our day did not end. We headed on a journey back to Hotel Congress to do what else, but Karaoke. Yes they did!!!!

But you know us, we had to get some of our night shots.

I leave you with a sleeping bride and a sleeping princess. It was a long and happy day and we can only imagine that they are dreaming of Braydee's beautiful dream wedding when she grows up.
